Adavanced Solace's Fortress Guide - To reach True End

    Last Updated: 2017 June 22

    Introduction
    Spoiler:
For basic Solace's Fortress Guide, please read ElWiki - Solace's Fortress.

    What is True End?
True End can be reached by defeating Solace in his phase 2 within 60 seconds.

Why do people reach True End?
There are various reasons why people may want to reach True End:
    1. Nocturn of Hernia: Nocturn of Hernia (NoH) is a unique accessory that will only have a chance to be dropped if players reaches True End. See ElWiki - Nocturn of Hernia.
    2. Shadow of the Sun and Eclipse Titles: To acquire these titles, players need to reach True End. See ElWiki - Elysion Titles
    3. Other Reasons: A challenge, a goal to achieve with guildmates/friends, or a way to show off... etc.

    How to reach True End?
There are 2 ways to reach True End.

    1) Remove 5 judgement marks and deplete all Solace's HP
    Spoiler:
    Space of Black Sun
    Spoiler:
To reach True End, you have to deplete all Solace's HP within 60 seconds after he enters phase 2. But during this initial 60 seconds, if Solace's HP is depleted to below 4 bars and judgement marks are not fully removed yet, then Solace will become invincible and take no further damage until 60 seconds is fully gone. Solace's invincibility will prevent us from reaching true end. To remove his invincibility, we need to remove all judgement marks. Once all judgement marks are removed, we will be able to deal damage to Solace again.

Note that you can also remove all judgement marks before Solace's HP is depleted to below 4 bars. Either way, you have to remove all judgement marks by passing Solace's judgements.

Cannot simply one hit KO Solace
    Spoiler:
Also, if you simply try to one hit KO Solace without having a way to counter death and you did not remove all the judgement marks yet, then Solace will recover 2 bars of HP from you death, enter invincible mode and not allowing you to reach True End:

    (Slow version)
Explanation: Some people may think that if they did enough damage to Solace in one hit when Solace is in phase 2, then they should be able to simply defeat him, but it looks like if the damage reflection is enough to kill the player, then Solace will still recover 2 bars of HP from your death, and not die. This is demonstrated in the video.

We will talk a bit more about the possibility of one hit KO Solace to reach True End later.

    Tips for removing judgement marks:
    Spoiler:
    Judgement - Ignite Rain
    1. It takes around 10 seconds to complete.
    2. When Solace is floating in the air. You can check his hand direction to predict the location of the jumping pad. If his hand points to the left, then the jumping pad is at the right hand side. The opposite is also true.
    3. Solace can be attacked while he is floating in the air and while he is standing on the ground just about to teleport to the air, but occasionally some attack may miss him, I don't know why.
    4. You don't have to use jumping pad to pass this judgement. To pass this judgement and have judgement marks removed, you just have to be above certain height at certain time. This judgement does not care whether you are hit by the explosion on the ground. This is why the mount Nasod Battle Gear can help you pass this judgement with certainty. This is also why the delay in the jumping pad can cause the judgement to fail. Certain class that can get themselves really high in the air can pass this judgement without using the jumping pad too.

    Judgement - Confusion Stigma
    1. It takes around 8 seconds to complete.
    2. You can use special active to dodge the homing sword. If I remember correctly, activate the special active when the counter reaches 3 if stand in front of him and activate the special active when the counter reaches 2 if stand behind him. The special active needs to be longer than 1.5 seconds.
    3. Mana break can help you pass the judgement, but i don't know if mana broken + overlap with team mate will let you pass this judgement.

    Others
    1. Having more people in the party makes it easier to remove 5 judgement marks.
    2. Rumor - If you can finish Solace Phase 1 quickly, then it increase the chance of Solace casting a judgement right after he finishes the phase 2 entry animation.
    3. Try to stand closer together in the middle, because Solace will always teleport to the most distant team member? which makes it harder for you to deal damage to him.
    4. Do not let Solace hit you. In some of Solace's attack, if he miss you in the first attack strike, he will stop that attack combo, which means more time to cast judgement. And you want more judgements when you still have judgement marks so you can remove judgement marks.
    5. When Solace starts casting Rising Slashes, hit him to stop him from continue performing the action and hopefully he will cast more judgement. (same reason as above point)

    2) While Solace still has more than 4 bars of HP, deliver one single hit that depletes all his remaining HP without dying
    Spoiler:

When Solace is in Phase 2 and have HP higher than 4 bars, you can deal high damage in one hit to Solace to reach True End, providing that you don't die from the damage reflection. (Phase 2 Solace reflects 10% of the damage he receives back to the player, and if a player dies, he will recover 2 bars of HP). 1 bar of Solace's HP equals to around 2.05 million damage according to my experiments (see this). This means that your 1-hit KO damage needs to be at least greater than 4 bars * 2.05 million per bar = 8.2 million. 8.2 million will reflects 0.82 million = 820,000 of damage to your HP. My Sakra Devanam's HP is around 240,000 so I don't think raising HP will be realistic while keeping enough damage to one hit KO Solace, at least within my understanding.

To solve this problem, just don't die when you deal that one hit KO hit to Solace. This will prevent him from recovering HP and allows you to reach True End. There are many ways to prevent death: Eclipse title (tested and it works), 5 invincible seconds after using resurrection stone (tested and it works), Yama Raja's Resurrection, Time Tracer's Seal of Time... etc. Below videos demonstrate this:

    Eclipse
    Spoiler:

Explanation: Eclipse prevents you from dying when you are about to die, hence prevents Solace from recovering HP and allows you to reach True end.

Explanation: When you are about to die, Eclipse will activate, prevent your death and make you invincible for 3 seconds. Invincible means you take no damage, including Solace's damage reflection, so this is a chance for you to one hit KO Solace without dying, and reach True End.

5 invincible seconds after using Resurrection Stone
    Spoiler:

Explanation: After using resurrection stone, you will be invincible for 5 seconds. Invincible means you take no damage, including Solace's damage reflection, so this is a chance for you to one hit KO Solace without dying, and reach True End.

Tips for One hit KO Solace:
    Spoiler:

    1. Blessed Giant Potion (Elixir), hot spring buff can increase your damage to one hit Solace.
    2. Rosso's calamity Wheel (Elixir) and elixir of similar kind can reduce Solace's HP steady for you to a point where you can one hit him safely if your attack damage is too high and don't want to proc things to suicide yourself (or trigger Solace's invincibility for reaching 4 bars of HP).
    3. You might want to hit Solace when he is performing some action instead of idle, because if he is in the middle of doing some action, you know he won't teleport to somewhere else instantly, hence reduce the chance of you miss hitting him, except if your skill casts almost instantly (such as Blade Master's Bloody Accel and Sakra Devanam's Tiger Stance - Fierce Spear Dance).
    4. For the resurrection stone method, if you have skills that can still hit enemy after you die, it will be useful to use that skill to suicide, because Solace will recover 2 bars of HP from your death, and you want to deplete these 2 bars of HP before you revive so you have less HP to deplete after you revived using the resurrection stone. Example of such skill include Ara's Exorcism Stance 3: Shadoweave.

General tips about fighting against Solace
    Spoiler:

    1. Just before Solace enter Phase 2 (when his HP is close to 12 bars), give him a single hit with high damage so that you have less HP to deplete in phase 2. For example, when his HP is 14 bars, you can deal a big hit worth 6 bars of damage to make his HP 8 bars.
    2. Attack Solace with multi-hit skill when he is just about to enter Phase 2 can stagger Solace (staggering means Solace will stand there for a few moments and not enter Phase 2 even if his HP is below 12 bars because he is being hit by too many times). Solace will stagger for a few moments then recover and enter phase. Use this phenomenon to reduce Solace's HP so you have less HP to deplete in Phase 2.
    3. Heroic gear effect "Damage increase when enemy HP is less than 30%" will give more damage boost than "Ignore Physical/magical defense" when fighting solace in phase 2. See here.
    4. The title Shadow of the Sun's damage boost does not work against Solace. See here.
    5. To increase your damage against Solace, consider: Magic stone of pursuit, Heroic gear with "Damage increase when enemy HP is less than 30%", "Damage to boss +" and other heroic gears effect (Attack/Attacked, party phy/mag attack, skill stack, ignore def) and Guardian of Secret Closed Space title (+10% damage against Boss).
    6. 1 bar of Solace's HP equals to around 2.05 million damage according to my experiments (see this).

Thanks, I didn't know he can still regain health even if he dies if you don't have invincibility active
